THE BEAN'S STORY
ALTITUDE
Strictly High Grown (SHG) means coffee grown above 1,200 MASL. Cooler temperatures at this altitude slow the maturation of the coffee cherry, giving the beans more time to develop flavor.
PROCESS
Washed coffee has the cherry removed before drying, creating a cleaner cup with more clarity.
ROAST
A medium-dark roast keeps the coffee balanced across espresso, drip, and milk-based drinks.
TASTING NOTES
AHUACHAPÁN DISTRICT
Coffee came to El Salvador in the 1800s and found a home in Ahuachapán almost immediately. The volcanic soil and cool mountain air turned out to be exactly what the plant needed. What started as a new crop became a way of life - and those farms are still producing some of the most interesting coffee in Central America.
